Who We Are

  We are not an emergency crisis ministry but a long term relational ministry (2 – 3 years). We believe we are called to walk extensively and intensively with single mothers and their children. Galatians 6 instructs followers of Jesus Christ to carry one other’s burdens while each should carry their own loads. This is a collaborative effort: the Lord will faithfully fulfill His part 100%; we are committed to carrying our part of the load; the single mothers must do their part. 

The majority of these ladies have been trapped in a vicious cycle of poverty and victimization. With consistent support and accountability, as we walk with them, we witness the beauty of them being, incrementally, set free spiritually, emotionally, financially and relationally as they step forward trusting the Lord.

About Us

Since 1996, New Direction Ministries' focus has been to restore youth and families. New Direction Farm served teens until 2014, impacting over 300 youth—80% from single-parent families. In 2014, New Direction Mustard Seed launched in Asheville, NC, continuing the mission to support families in crisis.
